I grew up and lived for 21 years in Illinois. I never liked Winter. After grad school I moved to Phoenix and decided that I didn't really want to live where it got cold and snowy. I had to move away from the Southwest once before I got to retirement, but came back as soon as I could retire.
So ... we have had absolutely no sign of Winter this year. I don't think it's gotten below the high-60's so far and no frost or freezes at all.
Here's the downside: I have had to continue mowing my lawn almost every other week. I did it again today. I also think my orange crop doesn't do as well when there is no cold weather at all. It's still better than having to shovel snow. _________________ -=sgeeeee=- |

I grew up in Upstate NY.
This year Ohio (and OK and KY and ...) have had lots of ice. |

| I don't miss the cold, snow, or ice of five months of Indiana weather; then again, I get a little tired after multiple weeks of 100 degree heat in Dallas. |
