wHY BE GROSS?

I'm talking about a legitimate business and trying hard to be able to tell you all the details instead of a few seconds of time that would not do the opportunity justice.

It is a referral business but to get all the details about the company (a Wellness company) and their products you would listen to an overview call that lasts about 30 minutes. It is a real opportunity to make the money you need or want according to your efforts. I don't know, that pitch was pretty weak. You missed:

- telling me about the "wealth level I deserve"
- telling me about the "luxurious lifestyle"
- stressing the "opportunity" represented here
- the univerally-applicable techniques

On the plus side, you did emphasize:
- how easy it is
- how anyone can do it
- how low work it is
- how cheap -free, even- it is

Now that I'm remembering, John T Reed does keep a nice list of words you may want to use in future copy'n'paste pitches:

I went to the site and still can't tell what the business is.

Another case of being in business to sell the business...

It is sad how many people get duped by these things.

No it is not Amway!! Far from it . If it is the company from your link, tmeri, it's probably just an MLM. They mention "Kim Holton, who had sponsored people she cared about" so I figure you start using the products, and then you try to get your family and friends to use them. You probably get a percentage of the profits for anyone you can find to use the product. So your dad buys from you, his nephew buys from your dad. You get probably 20% of what dad pays plus 10% of what the nephew pays. See, you're not "selling" (dirty word), you are persuading friends to use a product that you like and can recommend to others. <cough> That's my guess. I'm not sure how Amway works, but it's gotta be similar.
